about.
Peace
i'm Jamal Vickers, a new to the game sync agent. i was first introduced to the world of sync licensing through the creative academy - the remix project. at the time i was a young artist manager trying to learn how to put an album out. during my time there, i learned a multitude of skills to complement the tools and relationships i have been developing over the years. the area of the music industry one that spoke to me the most was licensing + sync. with already a deep-rooted fascination with tv shows, films & video game scores, this seemed like the natural evolution in my career. since my introduction to sync in 2013, i have found success within this industry as the representative of black music within canada. going on to rep 20+ artists, my catalog consists of r&b & soul, rap/hip-hop, reggae, soca, and afro-beats, as well as various integrations of these sub-genres. one of the policies at JVG is that we ensure all music is ready and easy to clear before songs are made available in our catalog. check out some of the artists and their music above, feel free to hit me up for anything you may need.
thank you for your time!
peace.

Notifi
Rapper, producer, engineer, mixer, crooner, Notifi is a consummate artist. Over crisp beats and dark, blitzed-out production, the Toronto auteur brings a fresh, unfiltered level of authenticity to his music; it’s the sound of the 6ix, of life itself, told with open eyes and a bravado that leaves room for self-effacing charm. Born in Montreal, Notifi has called Toronto home since he was months old. Finding his footing in the suburb of Scarborough, the nascent artist began rapping at the age of 14. When his family moved across the city, settling in the Jane and Finch area of Driftwood, he took inspiration from Kanye West, using samples to create musical bedrock while experimenting with a smoother sound. Eventually ditching the samples, Notifi has emerged with an infectious, unique blend of rap, dark pop and R&B, equally inspired by legends Usher and Michael Jackson, as by Toronto cornerstones Drake, Tory Lanez and the Weeknd. Alongside manager and notorious DJ Charlie B, Notifi is a member of the Farewell crew, a brand and upcoming label which represents the idea of ascension, of leaving the past behind and going to a better place. The 24-year-old is currently working on his debut EP, set for release in Fall 2018. It’d be easy to call him a maverick or even Toronto’s next supernova. For now though, he prefers you just call him Notifi.
